What happens when I hit my event limit?
On Free and Starter, events are silently dropped once you reach your monthly limit, so your site is never affected. On Pro and Scale, events keep flowing and any overage is billed automatically on your next invoice at $0.00002 per event ($20 per extra million).
How does overage billing work?
Pro and Scale overage is calculated at the end of each billing cycle. When your next invoice is generated, any events above your plan limit are charged at $0.00002 per event (about $20 per extra million). The overage line item appears directly on your Stripe invoice.
Is the monitoring suite really included on every plan?
Yes. Uptime checks, JS error tracking, source-map symbolication, hosted status pages, heartbeats and alerting are included on every plan, including Free, at no extra cost. Only analytics events and sampled real-user vitals count toward your monthly quota. Error tracking and uptime checks never do.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. If you downgrade below your current usage, events exceeding your new limit will be dropped.
How are events counted?
Each pageview or custom event counts as one event. Events are counted across all your websites combined. Deleted websites still count toward your monthly usage to prevent gaming.
